Up to 20 jobs affected in Plymouth as firm transfers IT activity
A number of jobs could be lost at EDF’s Plymouth office after the firm decided to transfer some of its work to Gloucestershire.
Around 20 jobs could be affected — with the possibility of staff being transferred or made redundant.

Four hundred employees work at EDF’s office, near the Manadon roundabout. Staff at the site work in a range of areas including billing, IT and customer service.
A spokesman for the firm said: “We recently announced to staff the proposed transfer of our IT data centre infrastructure activity to our site at Barnwood, Gloucester, from Plymouth, which should be completed in mid-2012.
"This will impact on only a small number of staff at Plymouth. EDF Energy has a strong track record of supporting those impacted by organisational change, and for those few affected we will continue to engage constructively with trade union representatives as that process progresses."
