PART of the A38 near Trerulefoot was closed in both directions during rush hour last night following a two car collision.

Fire crews from Liskeard and Saltash stations attended the scene at the Trerulefoot roundabout at 6.38pm after a silver Volkswagen and a Kia collided.

Police shut the road for nearly two hours as they carried out their investigation into the incident and Highways Agency staff cleared debris.

Paramedics treated a woman in her 20s at the scene for a minor head injury before she was taken to Derriford Hospital as a precaution.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to call them on 101 quoting police log number 627 of 28/1/2013.
