Air Ambulance forced to land on field by technical fault
A HELICOPTER had to make an unplanned landing at a football pitch in Saltash yesterday.
The Cornwall Air Ambulance landed on Warfelton field at around 2.15pm.

It is thought that a technical fault meant that the crew of three had to land unexpectedly.
An engineer came to fix the helicopter, which got moving again at around 4.30pm.

Aaron Dinham from Saltash Leisure Centre, which is next to the field, said that it looked like the helicopter was having mechanical problems as the crew kept starting and stopping it.
He said "The kids were all happy to have a helicopter on their playing field and are all crowded around it chatting to the crew.
"The pilot popped into Saltash Leisure Centre for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich."
Raymond Buckley, whose brother Brian lives nearby in Saltash said: "It is right opposite my brother's house and was there for more than two hours.
"It's not something you see every day so he called me to see if I'd heard anything."
