A YOUNG graphic designer has joined the Plymouth-based internet channel Chew TV.

Chew TV is the first web TV channel created by young people for young people and is planning a major growth phase next year.

As part of the expansion, Andrew Stone, aged 26, has joined the channel to take on the new role of head of design.

Andrew graduated from University College Falmouth with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and has seven years of commercial experience.

He set up and is the managing director of graphic design agency Oracle Design, which specialises in youth-focused design.

He will be working on a retained basis for Chew TV, and will be based in Newquay, his home town.

Andrew said: "Having delivered some design work for Chew TV and then being offered the part-time job, I couldn't believe that an opportunity enabling me to continue running my own design agency, whilst working with such an esteemed company could exist and I am absolutely delighted to join the team."

Korash Sanjideh, managing director of Chew TV, said: "We are at a really exciting stage for Chew TV at the moment and are looking for the right kind of young people who are keen to get involved.

"We were delighted to see that such a strong design talent pool exists locally and Andrew's vast experience and enthusiasm makes him the person to help us take Chew TV's design and branding to the next level."
