Animal rescue team out training called in to action to help pony
AN ANIMAL rescue team training on Dartmoor got the chance to put their skills to use when a member of the public reported a trapped pony.
A member of the public rang to say he had seen a Dartmoor Pony that wasnt able to get itself out of a ditch at Foggin Tor near Princetown just before 3pm today.

Princetown firefighters along with the Specialist Animal Rescue Team, who were training nearby and are normally based at Camels Head, attended.
They assisted the heavily pregnant pony to its feet and the pony was able to walk away uninjured.
