Appeal for witnesses after man injured in fall after assault
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an altercation in Union Street which left two men hurt.
Police said a man was 'struck' and fell into the road between The Dragon Inn Chinese takeaway and Maxines by the Octagon at around 11.30pm, Sunday night.
Police are looking for anyone who saw the incident which left the victim in the road with a knee injury which inflamed another injury he had suffered.
Police said another member of the public intervened and was punched to the head. Four men have been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries. Call police quoting reference EC/10/8959 on 08452 777444.
