Armed robber jailed for four years
Adam Peters, 23, from Plymouth, was yesterday sentenced at Truro Crown Court for an armed robbery which took place at a Cornwall petrol station last month. During the hearing the judge described his crime as a "cowardly, pre-planned armed robbery" and sentenced him to four years in jail.
Peters had entered the Shell garage at Fraddon, Cornwall, at around 10:30pm on 17 September. He was armed with a handgun and threatened the staff. When he could not open the cash till, he left with seven scratch cards. Police cars and the police helicopter were sent to the scene but were unable to locate him.
