Arrest after police in riot gear raid Plymouth flat

POLICE in riot gear and accompanied by a dog raided a flat in the city centre.

About six officers burst into a home in Notte Street at 11am yesterday.

They led away a 36-year-old without incident.

Police sergeant Paul Laity said outside the ground-floor flat: "There was an incident at a nearby takeaway on Saturday night.
