Ash dieback disease found in Looe, South East Cornwall
A case of the fatal ash dieback disease has been found in Looe, South East Cornwall.
The case of the tree disease is one of three in the county confirmed today by the Forestry Commission.
The confirmed cases are near Wadebridge, Looe and Camborne.

“I fear that it is only a matter of time before Plymouth and the whole of the Westcountry loses its Ash tree population, its a similar situation as Dutch Elm Disease which struck a few decades ago. I just hope that a replanting plan is going to be put in place.
On the plus side, plenty of wood for my wood burner which is far cheaper to run than the bills charged by the utility companies.”
