Ask.Fm is an online site connected to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. It gives the chance for people to ask people with an account anonymous questions, people can say anything they like, from compliments to death threats.

Many of my friends, including me use the site, you can be any age to have an account. It is possible to disable anonymous, so the name of the user appears after the question they have asked. Unfortunately many people dont know about this action.

Young people (12-18 year olds) are receiveing many hurtful and extrememly nasty 'questions'. People have received death threats and comments that are frankly unacceptable.

Hundreds of teens in Plymouth use the site, and are constantly being bullied on it.

The link below is simply all you have to type into your web browser to get to their homepage, i strongly suggest parents check this. All you have to do is create an account, the steps are quick and simple. Then, click search at the top right hand side, type your childs name, and you can see all of their questions and answers, most of the things you see will be shocking and some disgusting, i dont believe there is one account i know of without one nasty, disgusting comment on it.

“I have this issue with my teenage son and it's horrifying the questions that are being asked and I've asked him to simply close it down. He claims it has no affect on him and he opened it as he enjoys answering questions, some of which are outright nasty and some are no doubt from his own so called friends. It's a way of kids getting their kicks at the expense of someone else, just another way of taunting one another. These sites really should be taken offline permanently, why we need more troublesome websites aimed at the vulnerable (kids) is beyond me. Money, money, money, what about the safety and well being of our children? Time to get a grip and commence a stage of removing these socialising sites or set a minimum age requirement whereby there's no way of inputting false information as all new accounts would be followed up to verify a persons age. I wonder how many people will actually bother signing up if it was made to be more of a difficult process to open an account? In the meantime, parents will have the endless battle with their children and all in the name of technology...Pfft!!”

“One of the reasons I don't use Facebook Twitter or any of these "social" media sites. They are so open to abuse and it is happening with ever increasing frequency. Facebook themselves admit millions of the addresses they have are fake. I am perfectly able to communicate with ny friends and relatives using email, telephone (landline), letters or face to face.”
