A WOMAN has admitted smashing bottles of wine and assaulting a man.

Jacqueline Cooke, aged 29, has pleaded guilty to two offences before Plymouth magistrates.

Cooke, of Victoria Place, Stoke, admitted criminal damage to wine worth £30 at Millbridge Stores on March 18.

She also admitted assaulting Robert Horrell by beating him on the same date.

Magistrates originally adjourned sentence for a probation officer to prepare a report into her background. The court heard she attended an appointment but left before she was seen.

The bench released her until September 28 to allow another report to be completed.
