Attempted murder investigation after teen stabbed in chest in Plymouth
DETECTIVES have launched an attempted murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed in the chest.
Alex Timbers, 17, was rushed to Derriford Hospital where he underwent emergency heart surgery following the incident, which happened at about 8.30pm on Saturday.

Police are examining CCTV footage from the scene in Ker Street, Devonport, and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mike Cooper said: “At this stage the victim is very poorly but is stable and is able to speak to his family.

“Police are treating this matter as a potential attempted murder, and as a result the incident has been passed to the Major Crime Investigation Team.”
Three men, two aged 22 and one aged 21, have been arrested and are currently in custody.
