Plymouth man to stand trial for attempted rape of teenage girl
A MAN is to face trial next year accused of attempting to rape a teenage girl in Stonehouse.
Grant William Newcombe, 40, of Greenbank, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court charged with the sexual assault of a teenage girl in an alley off Rendle Street in Stonehouse on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29, 2011.

Newcombe, from Pentyre Terrace and wearing a black shirt, black tie and light brown trousers, only spoke to confirm his name and to plead not guilty to the charge.
He was released on conditional bail by Judge Paul Darlow and will face trial on January 2, 2013.
