The vehicle, which was destroyed, appears to have been crashed off the road and police believe the occupants may have been injured.

The stolen green BMW 745i was found on fire at 5.15am near to garages in Lanchard Road, Liskeard. Three men were seen removing the wheels from the car before it was destroyed.

Police are linking the burglary and car thefts to three other car break-ins in Trevanion Road on the same night.

Another garage was entered and a Honda Accord damaged. A black VW Golf and a blue Vauxhall Astra were also attacked and damaged.

Police believe the series of offences are also linked to the theft of a moped in Higher Lux Street, Liskeard, on the same night. It was found damaged around 800 metres away from where it was stolen.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has information to assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime number BD/13/347.
