PLYMOUTH CITY SUPER LEAGUE
A CHAMPIONSHIP performance was delivered by Waterloo in the last match of the season as they wrested the title from rivals St Johnston.

They emerged 9-4 winners to take the title by 16 points, but it was the manner of the victory that caught the eye as they produced no fewer than six games in 37 or less which included the best game of the season.
After taking the team game, Waterloo went 3-0 up when Simon Stevenson, Malcolm Johns and John Mann took their treble in 30 darts before Stevenson and Mann secured their doubles in 33.
There was also individual successes for Mann (37) and Mark Yeoman (36), but even a 28-darter from Adrian Lamerton was surpassed by Stevenson.
He carved out the season's best game when he threw 140, 100, 100, 100, 140, 100, 100 and 125 before finishing in two darts from 96 for a breathtaking win in 26 darts and a three-dart average of 115.5.
No fewer than 107 ton-plusses were recorded which included the week's top checkout by St Johnston's Allan Brunton, who won the last singles of the match with an out-shot of 154.
The Windmill had Steve Marker checking out from 145 in a 7-6 victory over City Social while Archer Inn, the only team to win in double figures, defeated Hyde Park 11-2.
BRUCE HARRISON BUILDERS LTD 501 TOP 20 LEAGUE
HILL Park took maximum points against bottom placed Maxines to move within five points of leaders City Social.
Tug Wilson and Simon Stevenson (100x15) took their doubles in 22 and 19 for a 29.47 average.
The duo were also prominent in the singles with Stevenson hitting legs in 13 and 17, and Wilson 15 and 19.
City Social won 9-2 at Ker St with Andy Bates (16 and 17) prominent while Kings Arms continued their climb up the table with a 7-4 victory at The Fawn.
Bruce Harrison (100x13) took two legs in 14 darts as he won 3-0 while Lee Roberts (100x16) inspired Brook Inn to an 8-3 victory at Archer Inn.
Grenville moved up to fourth spot on the back of a 10-1 victory over Steam Packet, with Steve Plumley (100x17) setting a new mark for the season's top checkout with a finish of 155.
Mark Williams (100x11) also caught the eye when hitting 16 and 17-darters in a 3-0 singles success.
Three-figure checkouts were also achieved by Luke Johnston (111), Mark Williams (108), Shaun Lamerton (100), James Stoodley (100) and Martyn Down (100).
MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE
GRENVILLE earned the plaudits winning 12-1 at Hill Park B, claiming both the week's top game and highest checkout.
John Mann, Mark Gilbury and Dave Meyrick won the first treble of the match in 33 darts when Gilbury checked out at the first time of asking from 140.
The victory puts the St Jude's side within two points of leaders Lion and Column, who defeated Archer Inn 8-5.
Town House fought back from both a 3-0 and 6-3 deficit to draw level at 6-6, only to lose the decisive point when Waterloo Inn's Adrian Lamerton was successful in 35.
PLYMOUTH & DISTRICT FRIDAY LEAGUE
MARK GILBURY was at the top of his game and inspired Grenville to a 12-1 victory at Waterloo A.
The young marksman recorded the week's top game and highest checkout when he finished a 33 dart leg with a kill of 154, scoring no fewer than 415 points with his last nine darts.
Lord High Admiral increased their lead to eight points with a 10-3 victory at Jolly Miller while second placed Ker St lost for only the second time in 21 matches when they were edged out by Town House.
Tony Birch was on target with an out-shot of 146 as Indian Inn triumphed 10-3 at neighbours Stoke Inn B.
Also showing his finishing prowess was Mark Shears, whose out-shot of 151 helped Friary Vaults win by the odd game of 13 against Weston Mill OV.
