Bare-chested knifeman threatened driver in Plymouth
A BARE-CHESTED thug threatened a motorist with a Stanley knife after he was interrupted as he tried to tamper with the car door.
Wesley Trevan, who has a string of previous convictions for knife crime, went to a friend's house to fetch the weapon which he held to the victim's chest.
The 26-year-old, of George Place, in Devonport, admitted possession of a knife in a public place.
He was yesterday jailed for six months, suspended for a year, and ordered to receive drug rehabilitation as part of a 12-month supervision order.

Judge John Neligan told him: "You have quite a history of possessing knives and using them to make threats."
Emily Pitts, prosecuting, said a motorist returned to his car in Perrinvale Road, in Torquay, at 7pm on an evening in August to find Trevan trying the door.
"The motorist asked him what he was doing and an argument ensued and the victim described Trevan as having eyes which were dilated and staring," Miss Pitts said. He had no top on and had tattoos.
"Trevan went to the home of a friend and returned with a Stanley knife which he held at the other man's chest as he talked in a rambling manner about his mother dying four years earlier from a drugs overdose."
Miss Pitts told Exeter Crown Court how Trevan had numerous previous convictions, including four involving knives or razor blades in Plymouth.
On this occasion he had been staying with friends in Torbay, the court heard.
Llewellyn Sellick, defending, said an assessment showed Trevan had started to make progress in tackling the drug problem that lay behind all his offending.

“Why do the judges let so many vile scum like people off? What's the incentive behind it, if they have the power to jail these freaks why don't they?
I know people like judges & politicians do not live in the real world & are protected the majority of the time from this filth that we have to encounter on a day to day basis, because they live in areas where these sorts of crimes are rare or unheard of, but why not jail them? It sickens me, i have four amazing children 2 of them living in London & studying at university & I constantly worries about there safety knowing such scum are roaming the streets due to the judicial system letting them free time & time again.
Why don't the judges put themselves in the victims shoes for a second & imagine what it would be like to be a victim of one of these horrendous crimes, are they so out of touch that they can't even begin to relate to how it must feel? It just makes me sick to the stomach time & time again.. Infuriating.”

“The biggest criminals in our society are gutless judges who are swayed by politicians and allow such scumbags to return to society unpunished, this problem will never be resolved as long as the spineless judiciary fail to show that they have the ba**s and use the laws properly that are available to them.”

“@Janey Socks
Are you gettting tupped by this scumbag? You seem to be defending this cretins actions quite vehemently! ( Google it love, ive got a feeling you wont know what vehemently means)
He is quite obviously a waste of oxygen aswell as taxpayers money. Id say lock him up, but that would just cost us honest, hardworking taxpayers even more! If only drowning or euthanasia ( google that one too while youre at it) were legal. Id have him at the front of the queue, right alongside yourself.
The justice system really does need to take a much firmer stance on these gutless and worthless imbeciles and make them pay their dues to society.”

“As you say Janey socks, people on drugs are not in control, they go around threatening people with weapons & therefor should be jailed for a very long time, if I was a drug addict & acted in this way, I would expect to be jailed, & after spending many years behind bars it might just be possible that one day you realise that sort of lifestyle has to stop & you get help to get clean.
But when they get away with it without being jailed they think they might as well continue to rob & steal.”
