DRIVERS were faced with an unusual road block yesterday morning – after a bathtub fell off the back of a lorry.
Police officers received four calls from members of the public who said there were large bits of debris across the A38.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the outside lane of the Exeter-bound A38, near to the Weston Mill turn-off, shortly before 10am yesterday.

A force spokesperson said the items were believed to have fallen from the back of a lorry.
"Police officers attended and got the bathtub off the road within 10 minutes," the spokesman said.
"They also identified the vehicle in which it came from and are making ongoing enquiries to speak to the driver of the lorry, who is believed to have carried on driving.
"The lorry driver could have committed offences relating to an insecure load."
