Benefit cheat took £46,000 while claiming pension
A MAN who admitted pocketing £46,000 in benefits will be sentenced in March.
Kim Smith pleaded guilty to three charges of dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstances.
The 56-year-old of Eastern Avenue, Liskeard, will be sentenced on March 1 at Plymouth Crown Court.
Smith, who walks with crutches, was wrongly paid incapacity benefit, income support and council tax relief because he did not inform the authorities he was claiming a pension.
The benefit claims between September 2005 and June 2011 meant he was overpaid by £45,997.65.
