THE final eight players will battle it out at the Kings Arms, Oreston, on Sunday for the right to be crowned the 2012 Champion of Champions.

The line-up includes Col Maddocks and Ralph Lancaster who won their only titles back in 1989 and 1996 respectively.

Maddocks emerged a 3-0 winner against Mark Gilbery while Lancaster defeated five-time champion, and Ker Street Social Club team-mate, Flynn Jones over five legs in 16, 16 and 19.

Simon Stevenson has won the title twice, the last occasion being 2009, and is considered by many to have strong claims this year after taking legs in 19, 16 and 18 to dispose of James Orchard.
