A bike passenger has been killed in a single-vehicle accident which has closed a busy Plymouth road.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old man died in a fatal road traffic collision in Plymouth this morning.

At 7am today officers and emergency services were called to a single-vehicle collision involving a Honda motorcycle on Alexandra Road, Mutley Plain.
The pillion passenger, from Plymouth, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. Formal identification has not taken place although next of kin have been informed.

The rider of the bike, a 21-year-old man from Elburton, suffered a serious arm injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Alexandra Road was closed and only reopened at 1.30pm while investigations took place.
Officers from the Force Serious Collisions Investigation Unit have launched an investigation into the collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen witnessed the collision or seen the motorcycle travelling in the area around 7am today. Please contact police on 101, quoting log number 78 of 6/11/12.
Earlier this morning police also closed the road in Sheviock, South East Cornwall after a car overturned in a single-vehicle accident.
The route near Torpoint was closed at 6am as officers dealt with one person trapped inside their car.
The crash happened just after 5.30am and a woman was rescued from her car and taken to hospital as a precaution.
The route reopened at 6.15am and the car will be recovered later.
