Bistrot reveals menu ahead of Plymouth opening
Ahead of its opening in Plymouth next month, French restaurant Le Bistrot Pierre has announced the Soiree Gastronomique menus that will be available in Plymouth on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
The new Plymouth bistrot will be located in Plymouth’s Royal William Yard.
Due to open in the New Cooperage building, it will include a bar serving a range cocktails and local real ales on draught, as well as a seafood menu as part of its day-to-day menu, which will include oysters, lobster-frites and a ‘fruits de mer’ sharing platter.
The family of restaurants has branches across the Midlands and North West including Derby; Harrogate; Ilkley; Leamington Spa; Leicester; Nottingham; Sheffield; Stockton Heath and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Soirée Gastronomique menu changes for each event and consists of six courses for £22.50.
Amongst the specialities on offer during March will be pan-fried scallops with ratatouille and lemon; fillet of Atlantic cod wrapped in Bayonne ham with bearnaise sauce and Burgundian ham hock terrine with parsley. Whilst the new menus (April to June) revealed today will include seared peppered salmon with sauce vierge, olive oil and lemon; brioche bread and butter pudding with spiced blackberry compote and pan-fried Scottish pasture-fed 21 day-aged rib-eye steak with green peppercorn and brandy sauce.
As part of the changing menu future months will see customers able to sample Burgundy escargots; mild, creamy and nutty St. Marcellin cheese from Isere (Rhone-Alpes region) baked with red onion confiture and sourdough toast; pan-fried wild mullet with ratatouille; Limousin beef slow-cooked with red wine; leeks and Moutarde Violette de Brive and Skate wing meuniere with beurre noisette amongst many other dishes.
