Human remains unearthed by Plymouth builder handed to council
HUMAN remains unearthed by a builder working on his driveway are more than 100 years old and are not being linked to a crime.
Forensic experts have confirmed the bones, found at the rear of a property in Tothill Avenue, Greenbank, are human and will be passed to Plymouth City Council.

The discovery was made by Richard Shilton as he levelled his driveway. The 36 year old discovered what looked like a thigh bone and two jaw bones while using a mini-digger on Wednesday.
Investigating officers said at the time the bones could be linked to a crime, the Civil War, the Second World War or a nearby church.
A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesman said they were not being linked to a crime and Plymouth City Council would now take ownership of them.
Richard said he had been told by the police to stop working at the site until it had been properly examined.
A Plymouth City Council spokesman said: "If they are handed to us, and that would be unusual, we would explore whether they can be reburied."
