A NEW Christian bookshop in Brixham is part of Brixham Baptist Church in Market Street, and is being co-ordinated by husband-and-wife team Jim and Marian Collins and 12 enthusiastic volunteers from the congregation.

Choice Words will initially open on Sundays after the service and on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and midday, but it is hoped these will increase.

Choice Words is based in Newton Abbot and had a branch in Paignton which closed six months ago. The Rev Philip Marsden said without the new shop people in Brixham and Paignton would have had to go to Newton Abbot to buy Christian materials.
