Brent, speaking to the media today, said: "I would like to offer sincere apologies to our fans for the very troubled first half of the season we have had.
"We had genuine expectation we would be sited in a different part of the table than we are at the moment."
Meanwhile, former Argyle loan signing Alex MacDonald scored two of the goals for Burnley's development squad when they beat Everton under-21s 4-1 today.
MacDonald had been set for a permanent move to Home Park until the sacking of manager Carl Fletcher on January 1.
According to Burnley's official website, MacDonald put in 'an outstanding performance' and 'was the catalyst for many of the Clarets' brightest attacking moments' against Everton.

“If Mr Brent is truly sorry, lets see how much cash he gives JS to get us out of this messas opposed to what he gave CF. I do not feel it will be a lot but every penny helps and it is now down to JS to use his experience and contacts to get the right people in - starting with Alex Mac and removing the donkeys (but I would give the fireman another chance to be fair - he just needs a service from wide players).
Onwards, upwards and to hopefully safety - fingers crossed and a good trailling wind.

“no level headed ,not the penny has dropped, but .77p in the pound that the creditors took and the staff that worked for nothing that saved the club, one day they may pay for the pitch they play on,”

“i dont know why expectations where so high anyway tbh the players plymouth have are eather left overs from the youth team that no one else wanted or in there mid to late 30's
i do go to the plymouth games some times and most games are horrible even when you go 1 up or evein 2 the team just sits back and gives up and all the long balls your team play are just silly very rarly do you play the short passing game (when thay do its good and good to watch) and thay also play way to much to one side of the pitch lyndhurst end and forget about the other side completly.
i think if you play alittle more open and more of the short passing game thay may get a few points on the board.”

“Sign of a good man and frankly Fletch should have done better. Re-signed players who arent up to the job.

“There's no need to apologize JB for saving this lot from liquidation. Problem is these Idiot supporters think they're following Barcelona and your real name is Roman Abronavich.
Maybe the penny will drop next season when they're off in their tractors to barrow, forest green etc.....but I doubt it!”

“...."Brent had high hopes for better fortunes this time around."
Maybe Mr Brent has learnt this season that "hoping" things get better doesn't work at any level of football.”
