Brittany Ferries change Plymouth route to avoid French protests
PROTESTING fishermen who have blocked a main French port have disrupted travel for outbound city passengers.
Brittany Ferries announced yesterday that a protest by fishermen in Roscoff today was likely to leave the port blocked.
The ferry company made the decision to divert passengers sailing from Plymouth to Roscoff at 10pm last night to Brest instead.
The sailing from Roscoff to Plymouth today will now depart from Brest at 3pm.

“@JTPlymouth
I would agree but it must be an hours extra sailing and it is rather out on a limb rather like Plymouth.”

“I wish they would sail to Brest anyway. Roscoff is lovely but it's so small so as a destination, there just isn't much to see. I took a bus/train between Roscoff and Morlaix for a change recently. Brest though is a busy town with much more to see.”
