Burglary at Crownhill
POLICE hunting burglars want to hear from anyone who was in an area of Crownhill on Wednesday night.
Crooks struck the house in Kirkwall Road, sometime between 10.30pm on September 12 and 7.45am on September 13 while the owners slept inside.
Entering through an insecure door the thieves made off with a 'Jane Norman' ladies purse, a gents white gold ring with a small diamond, an X Box 360 wireless controller, and a Game Boy Advance and games.
Police would like to hear from people who have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or anyone who has been offered any of the stolen items.

SQUEALS and yelps will be proof of charitable men at a fundraising event this weekend.
Staff at Rapunzels Hair and Nail Studio in George Street, Devonport will be holding a fundraising day from 11am to 5pm tomorrow to raise money for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association.
In addition to a bouncy castle, face painting, cake sale, barbecue and tombola there will be a sponsored men's waxing event and a wacky hairstyles competition.
Prizes from the tombola include treatment vouchers, attraction tickets, Paul's boutique merchandise and much more.
ST MARY the Virgin Church in Laira is to host a slideshow to be presented by Robert Hawton.
The event entitled, Enjoyment of the Seasons, takes place on Friday, September 21, 2pm at the church located in Federation Road. All are welcome to attend.
Admission is by donation which will go towards the work of the church.
