ONE of the city’s busiest roads was closed after a motorbike and a car collided.

The emergency services were called to the junction of Ham Drive and Outland Road at around 5.55pm yesterday after a Honda 125 motorbike and a Ford Focus were in collision.

It is understood the male rider of the motorbike suffered a leg injury and was treated by paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service at the scene before being taken to Derriford Hospital. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for around an hour while traffic was diverted past the Cherry Tree public house.
