CITYBUS SERICES WITHDRAWN FROM CITADEL ROAD
I wonder how many of the Elderly folk and others in these roads are aware they will not have a bus service from November 11th?
What I can not understand is why Plymouth Citybus would take a bus service away from three residential roads where there is regular passenger use and put that service through non residential roads, Millbay Road to go up Western Approach around Cabourg Street roundabout to Mayflower Street and then come back down Western Approach to Royal Parade. This new route will surely be running dead miles carrying far fewer passengers
Is this a ploy I wonder to cut the service 25 altogether when it will be shown eventually that "passenger numbers will have dropped" ?

“see here we go again. People have a local bus service, don't use it and voila, its gone and at that point its too late. The company involved must choose between making a profit on a commercial service or subsidize the random meanderings of a handful of pensioners who are draining the coffers with their "free" passes. The whole concessionary scheme is designed to be breakeven only so really pensioners are not a bus companies target customers, they are worth nothing to them, its paying fares that they need so if its only pensioners using a particular service then those people should enjoy that service now because it will soon be gone too.
Use it or lose it people, simples.”

“Well JannerBorn me old mate it's gonna make even less now !
and as to your thoughts on your .........................."But to all you moaner's, heres your big chance, buy a bus, employe a driver, buy some insurance and fuel......you chance to make easy money !!" idea......firstly employ does not not have an e on the end of it and to do what you suggest is out of reach to any moaner due to all the rules and regulations surrounding running one bus, let alone a fleet
But hey.....even though your efforts were wasted thanks for joining in”

“Clearly wasn't turning over enough cash to make it work.... Why would they drop a profit making route....? They wouldn't, simple maths tbh.
But to all you moaner's, heres your big chance, buy a bus, employe a driver, buy some insurance and fuel..... you chance to make easy money !!”

“Incredibly, there are NO buses between the railway station and the hotels / guesthouses on the Hoe. The No.25 was the closest thing to a service we had - now even this is to go.”
