MARLBOROUGH CONSTRUCTION LTD MONDAY LEAGUE

DIVISION B leaders Belgrave A drew for the first time this season away to Plaza D as Rileys A in second won 4-2 at home to Plaza B.

Dean Hindman and Rich Bailey both won twice for Belgrave H in their 5-1 win at home to Plym Electricity B.

GWRSA B also won 5-1 at home to Saltram A, thanks to two frames each from Peter Harrison and Kev Smith.

City Social won 4-2 at home to Railways A with Shaun Hobbs winning twice.

Ford A in Division C drew away to Belgrave C and won a re-arranged game 4-2 away to Plaza A, which takes them top of the division, three points ahead of Plymouth Social who won 4-2 away to Railways B.

Former leaders Beacon Park A move down to third after losing 5-1 away to Plym Electricity A, for whom Andy Godiff and Gavin Avery both won twice.

P&D LEAGUE

IN THE Premier League, Rileys P are now eight points clear after beating Belgrave B 5-1.

Second placed Rileys B slipped to a surprise 4-2 defeat at club rivals Rileys G (Mike Day 63 & M Collins 50).

Trevor James made a great 63 for Land Registry who went down 4-2 to improving Plaza B.

Tavistock RBL, in fifth with a couple games in hand, won 5-1 at Woodland Fort (Andy Symons 50).

Belgrave A in third enjoyed a 6-0 success over lowly Matchroom B (Dan Legassick 38).

In Division One, Essa had a superb 3-3 draw at second-placed Belgrave C.

MITCHELL GRINSTED recorded the highest break in the Premier this week with 68 to help Belgrave F take all five points from Belgrave E.

Mark Davies made a 48 in Belgrave B's 3-2 win over Ford Cons B.

Telecom A saw Andy Hyden make a 40 in their 4-1 win over Plymstock A.

Ross Bunney made 33 to win his frame for Saltash WM A. However, he then saw Aaron Orme make breaks of 33 and 27 to help Ford Cons C to a 3-2 victory.

In Division One, the shock of the week came when Saltash WM B beat high flyers Pennycross C 4-1 with the help of a 42 from Steve Newcombe.

DEVON PASTIES PLYMOUTH BILLIARDS LEAGUE

EARLY pacesetters Elburton A strengthened their position at the top with a terrific 24-21 win over league runners up Belgrave B four weeks into The Trevor Davies Trophy.

It was a good week for both teams from Elburton as the B side ran out 24-23 winners in a close fought match with Mutley B.

The final match of the week was again a close affair with Belgrave A defeating Noss Mayo 24-23 thanks to a fine performance from captain Derek Walker who produced breaks of 41, 31 and 30.

Meanwhile, Sunday, February 21 will see the Belgrave Snooker Club on Mutley Plain host an open handicap snooker competition.

The format for the day will be group stages and knockout giving all involved a full day's play.

Based on a field of 32 players, prize money will be paid from the quarter-finals.

The entry fee for the day is £7 and players must be registered by 11.30 am.

BOND TIMBER LISKEARD AND DISTRICT LEAGUE

SOCIAL A ended Saints' superb 15 month unbeaten league record to lead the current Premier Champions by two points, and with the title contenders meeting again in the semi-final of the KO Cup it should be a nail-biting encounter.

With four wins from five outing Social B look to have secured a top flight spot for next season.
