PLYMOUTH SOCIAL CLUBS LEAGUES

THE highest break of the week came in Division One when Steve McMinn made a 44 for Mutley Cons D.

He saw team-mates Mark Jefferies and Stuart Allen make a 31 and 30 respectively in a 5-0 win over Plymstock B.

Saltram had Michael Day make a 39 in a 4-1 win over Pennycross B.

Keith Canning managed a 37 to win his frame for Crownhill RBL A who went down 3-2 to Ivybridge who are now five points clear in top spot.

In Division Two, Wayne Rickard made a 30 to help the Agaton team to a 4-1 win over Mutley Cons B.

Woodland Fort A had Simon Jones make a 27 clearance in a 5-0 whitewash of Telecom B.

Hyde Park A stay one point clear at the top following a 4-1 win over GWRSA Pennycomequick.

Crownhill Family A, in Division Three, had Doug Stewart junior and Peter Harrison make breaks of 25 and 19 respectively in a 4-1 win over Stuart C. They move into third spot in the table.

Plympton Cons B move seven points clear at the top thanks to a 5-0 win over Beacon Park B with the help of a 25 clearance from Paul Medway.

In the Premier, Stuart A's Nigel Llewellyn made a 33 to win his frame. However, he then saw Derren Wilkie make a 31 for Telecom A to win his frame on the black and the match 3-2.

Plymstock A had Lee Jayne make a 24 to win the decider in a 3-2 win over Mutley Cons A.

MARLBOROUGH CONSTRUCTION LTD MONDAY LEAGUE

PENNYCROSS A take over as joint leaders in Division A, alongside Belgrave F, after they won 4-2 at home to GWRSA A with two frames from Tony Vieira. Belgrave F drew away to Stuart A.

Former leaders Rileys C went down 5-1 against Rileys B, who had Rob Martin making a 25 clearance as well as winning twice, as did Martin Griffiths.

Beacon Park B won 5-1 away at Ford B thanks to two frames each from Gary Pomfret and Charlie Taylor.

Mark Hembry won the final two frames for Hyde Park in a 4-2 win over Plym Citybus B and Crownhill won 4-2 at home to Belgrave D.

In Division B Dave Pritchard and Mike Ford both won twice for Rileys A in a 5-1 victory over Rileys D, which puts them second behind leaders Belgrave A who won 4-2 at home to Plaza B.

Nick Daw won the final two frames to give Belgrave B a 4-2 success over Railways and Matt Williams made breaks of 52, 45 and 39.

Beacon Park A move to the top of Division C following a 5-1 victory at home to Ford A.

P&D LEAGUE

IN THE Premier League, Trevor James made a great break of 64 but Land Registry went down 5-1 at second-placed Rileys P for whom Wayne Branton made a break of 45.

Third-placed Tavistock RBL had a great 4-2 win over Belgrave A (Andy Symons 40).

In Division One, lowly Rileys D enjoyed a 4-2 win over Plaza C for whom Dave Dickson won both his games.

In Division Two, the top of the table is tight with only 12 frames separating the top five teams.

Leaders Belgrave D were held by Rileys S (Chris Coumbe 21). Mark Philipps made a great 38 for Rileys M who beat club rivals Rileys A 5-1 and are now second.

In the Thursday League, runaway leaders Tavistock RBL won 5-0 over bottom side XFab for whom Andy Symons made a 42.

BOND TIMBER LISKEARD AND DISTRICT LEAGUE

ALL three Premier title-chasers made comfortable first round Knockout Cup progress, except for Saints, whose in-house clash had Darren Hunn in sparkling form to claim a point for Saints B after an excellent 44 break.

Struggling Downderry and Social D caused upsets over Social C and St Neot. There were breaks of 36 and 37 from Kevin Steed and 33 from Alan Snell for Dobwalls.

LEADERS Belgrave B maintained their excellent form with a 3-0 victory over Mutley Cons B.

In second place club rivals Belgrave A picked up a 2-1 win at home to Elburton A. Highlights were Matt Williams knocking in a cracking 86 break with team-mate Derek Walker producing breaks of 46, 39, 37, 36, 34 and 33. Noss Mayo picked up a 2-1 victory over Citybus and Elburton B won 2-1 against Mutley Cons A.
