Miss Dalby joined Call24 by applying through the Government's apprenticeship website and was interviewed for the role, beating five other candidates. Her role is funded by the Government until November.
"I thought the best way to achieve an NVQ in business and admin was to become an apprentice," she said. "I'll be able to achieve the skills I need, complete my course and do something I enjoy, at the same time as being within a business environment."
Howard Toplis, chief executive of Call24, said: "We are delighted with the start Courtney has made, especially at this busy time for the company.
"The apprenticeship scheme has benefits for both parties. Courtney develops her knowledge and skills whilst the company benefits from Courtney's input; especially as she's identifying areas that can be improved upon to give customers a better experience."
National Apprenticeship Week is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have.
