A CHARITY car wash is being held in Plymouth to raise vital funds for vulnerable and neglected children.

Local supporters of leading children's charity Action for Children will be grabbing their buckets and sponges to wash cars at Plymouth Central Hall Methodist Church, opposite Drake Circus, today from 10am – noon.

Action for Children fundraiser Jamie Lee said: "It's a great way to give something back and help make a difference to the thousands of children and young people Action for Children works with across the UK."

The car wash costs £4 and all proceeds go to Action for Children. Plymouth's Laira Youth Band will also be playing and drinks and snacks will be available.
