THE following cases have been dealt with by Plymouth magistrates.

BRENDON DAVY, aged 29, of Notte Street, Plymouth: assaulting a man by beating him and assaulting a woman by beating her – 12-month community order with 100 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £200 compensation and £150 costs.

SARAH OWENS, aged 43, of Wolseley Road, Plymouth: assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty – six-month community order with Female Offender Specified Activity and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £50 costs.

LUKE BRIDGEMAN, aged 23, of Morley Court, Plymouth: possession of cocaine – fined £110, ordered to pay £40 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

MICHAEL DOMAGALA, aged 25, of Wilton Street, Plymouth: production of cannabis – 12-month community order with 100 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £85 costs.

JASON LAVERCOMBE, aged 18, of Aylesbury Crescent, Plymouth: possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of cannabis – 12-month community order under probation supervision with a six-month Drug Rehabilitation Requirement Light and ordered to pay costs of £50.

CARL LEGGETT, aged 19, of Goodwin Crescent, Plymouth: possession of cannabis – fined £35 and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge.

LUCAS MAZUR, aged 25, of Grand Parade, Plymouth: production of cannabis and possession of mephedrone – 12-month community order with 120 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £85 costs.

DALEY CUNNINGHAM, age 23, of Corfe Avenue, Plymouth: drink-driving – banned from driving for 22 months, fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

CATHRYN DAVIS, aged 50, of Bowdens Park, Ivybridge: drink-driving – banned from driving for 12 months, fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

MATTHEW MCGARRY, aged 33, of Ladysmith Road, Plymouth: drink-driving – banned from driving for 12 months, fined £300, ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

JENNA BRYANT, aged 26, of Rosedown Avenue, Plymouth: two counts of failing to notify a change of circumstances which would affect a benefit claim – 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £50 costs.

GAVIN GORDON, aged 34, of Bishops Place, Plymouth: breach of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order – fined £150 and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge.

PAUL HENRICK, aged 23, of Lippell Drive, Plymstock: resentenced for an earlier offence of affray after breaching a community order and sentenced for possession of ketamine, a Class C controlled drug – jailed for four months.

JAY NORTHEY, aged 23, of George Place, Plymouth: criminal damage to a pane of glass and breach of a conditional discharge – ordered to pay compensation of £90.

RICHARD PEARCE, aged 34, of Warton Close, Plymouth: failed to notify a change of circumstances which would affect a benefit claim – 12-month community order with 50 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £50 costs.

    “oh well, one person sent to jail for breaching a community order and the other cases all an expensive waste of court time and taxpayers money. Producing and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and all they get is a 12 month community order, is there really a war on drugs?”
