A CAST of young actors are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with a new production.

The DJR School of Performing Arts will stage their production of Titanic the Musical at the end of the month.

David Bailey, founder of the theatre group, said: "It's going to be a really exciting play but quite tearful as well.

"There is some great acting and amazing songs. The singing from the cast is outstanding and the lead parts in particular have excelled themselves." The show is being staged at the Devonport Playhouse on Friday October 26 at 7pm and Saturday October 27 at 2.30pm and 7pm.
