Chance to put questions to MP Gary Streeter in Ivybridge
IVYBRIDGE residents are to have the chance to air their views and put questions to MP Gary Streeter about the issues facing older people – from pensions and tax allowances, through health and social care to housing and transport.
The South West Devon MP will be speaking at an open public meeting about the opportunities and threats of an ageing society, and what governments can and should do about it.
The meeting has been organised by the Ivybridge & Area branch of Devon Senior Voice, the voluntary forum for the over-50s. Senior Voice members will also be discussing the way ahead for the branch.
Branch chair John Montgomery said: ‘We are keen to promote opportunities for public debate about important issues, and how they affect everyone. The meeting is free and open to all, regardless of age, so come along and make your voice heard. We look forward to seeing many members of the public there.’

Tell us something we don't know, apparently, in translation, the Prime Minister is implying there are "not enough hours in the day" to "answer every question, cover every issue, and to reply to every complaint"; and so is attempting to ask permission to continue in the manner and mannerism of a system of government which in a theoretical context and a hypothetical argument establishes the needs of the populous by representating one way and then the other, and above all to represent what the people need, a government?
