Charity Zumbat event in Plymouth raises money for good causes
BOXERS and ballerinas joined forces for a charity 'Zumbat' event.
The workshop combined the arts of Zumba and Bodycombat, and featured people from gyms, clubs and community groups across the city coming together at Derriford Health and Leisure Centre for an afternoon of fun.
The Saturday event was billed as 'Rocky meets Strictly', and was open to people of all ages and abilities.
Dozens showed up and more than £800 was raised for three charities – Children's Hospice South West, Jeremiah's Journey and Women V Cancer.

Organiser Pippa Waller said everyone enjoyed themselves.
"It went really well, beyond our expectations," she said. "It was fantastic.
"We raised just over £800 and there is more to come in from people who have pledged donations."
She added: "It was mainly people who do keep fit classes. We had a session of Zumba and a session of Bodycombat – 45 minutes of each – and we had a raffle.
"It wasn't too strenuous – it was just like a big party really. There was a lot of messing around and it was a lot of fun."
