Chefs of the future cook up a storm
YOUNG chefs proved they have the recipe for success during a city-wide cookery challenge.
Teams of schoolchildren caused quite a stir at the annual competition held at City College Plymouth on Thursday.
Local celebrity chefs James and Chris Tanner judged entries and presented prizes.
They were particularly impressed by dishes served by the winning team from Hillside Special School.

Martin Nash, programme area manager for hospitality at City College, said: “This was another great competition supported by local schools, food suppliers and employers.
“Our thanks go to Chris and James Tanner – patrons of hospitality and catering at the college – for their support.”
Hillside's menu comprised chargrilled mackerel fillets with a herb crust to start, a main of chicken on potato rosti and a desert of green tea and vanilla panacotta with chocolate sauce.
Runners up were Ivybridge Community College and Liskeard School and Community College.
Other entries were cooked up by last year's winners, Devonport High School for Girls, and Stoke Damerel, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, Sir John Hunt and Lipson community colleges.
