A MAN has appeared in court accused of twice raping a girl and indecently assaulting her 11 times.

Kevin Radmore, aged 59 (pictured), of Beaumont Avenue in Greenbank, faced Plymouth magistrates charged with raping a girl under 16 more than 10 years ago.

He is also accused of repeated indecent assaults on the same victim in Plymouth over the same period.

Magistrates were told the allegations were so serious the case had to be sent immediately to Crown court.

Bespectacled Radmore, who wore a suit and walked with the aid of a stick, spoke only to confirm his personal details during the five-minute hearing.

He did not enter any formal pleas but his solicitor Bill LaHive said he would be denying the allegations at the senior court.

Radmore was released on unconditional bail to appear before the Crown court on December 13.
