“I wholeheartedly agree with "belly1234", what total a waste of LOCAL taxpayers money and Police time. After all the Company claim it back on their Insurance Policys anyhow.”

“Wow, a whole bottle of cider!
Value probably less than £5. Cost for the police to attend, obtain a statement, get cctv onto a disk, copy it, send it to the Herald? Probably well over £100 already. Maybe the police should look at how they prioritise how they respond to crimes and how they spend their budget. Is this in the public interest to post pictures of someone for a £5 theft in a paper? Well, I mean trying to post a picture of the thief.
Iceland should write-off the loss and look to improve it's security, use their profits to prevent crime not tax-payers money.”
