CONTEST: Miss Teen Earth contestant Charlotte Goodacre
The eco-conscious fashion student is facing four other contestants in her heat and will find out her fate when voting closes on August 1.
Each text vote unlocks more plants for the 17-year-old to donate to a chosen charity, school or project — and Charlotte is determined to make a lasting impact.
She said: "Winning the title would be indescribable.
"To say I would be on top of the world would be an understatement. I chose to enter this pageant as its main objective is to help the environment.
"If I can get enough votes I would look into donating to schools in my local community or local hospices.
"I want them to go to a deserving cause and make a lasting contribution to people less fortunate than myself."
Charlotte, who has just completed a BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Textiles at Plymouth College of Art, is set to study commercial fashion at Truro and Penwith College from September.
She hopes to be competing against nine other teens in the UK grand final the same month. Charlotte added: "I know I would represent Miss Earth in the best way possible and be the greatest role model I can be to inspire young women.
"I want to try and do as much as I can to promote protecting our earth through fashion and promotion to young people, who are going to be the next generation looking after the environment."
To back Charlotte's bid, text her full name to 81118 or call 09012 937987. Votes cost £1 plus the standard network charge and a portion of the proceeds goes towards donating plants.
