Civilian contractor arrested by MoD police in Plymouth
A CIVILIAN contractor has been arrested by Ministry of Defence police on suspicion of theft.
A number of Ministry of Defence (MoD) police officers were seen outside the Swilly Snax cafe in North Prospect Road yesterday morning.
A spokesman for the MoD police confirmed to The Herald that an incident had taken place.
The spokesman said "an MoD civilian contractor" had been arrested in the city "on suspicion of theft".

He added that the man had been taken to a police station in Plymouth – believed to be Charles Cross Police Station – where he was questioned before being released yesterday afternoon.
It is understood the MoD officers carried out searches of a residential address as well as commercial premises.
The spokesman said property had been recovered and taken away for forensic examination.
The age and identity of the man were not revealed by the MoD police.
It has also not been announced what item or items he is suspected of stealing.
