Claire Nicolson loves being on the road; she popped down to the Westcountry at the end of last year, singing for her supper at small venues to promote her bouncy, singalong single Toothpaste and Whisky which enjoyed a fair bit of airplay on Radio Two. Now the backing singer turned solo artist is back as she wends her way around the UK purveying her unique brand of theatrical, easy-going indie pop and her latest single You and I. Already in the public arena on the current Surf TV ad, the track was written and produced by Claire's brother Hugo Nicolson (renowned for Primal Scream's Screamadelica album) for his LA project Yellowhammer. Claire's debut album 52 Card Pick Up is out in June.
