A COUPLE of fabulous lady guitarists will be stopping off at the B Bar, Barbican Theatre, on Thursday, as part of a series of shows featuring female musos, to play a tribute to the late Emily Remler.
Deidre Cartwright and Kathy Dyson will be celebrating the life and work of the New York jazz guitarist, who died aged just 32.

As well as performing Remler originals, they'll be dropping in some of their own tunes plus swinging jazz standards, a little bossa nova and even some Leonard Cohen tracks.
THE Martin Dale Quartet featuring guest trombonist Roger Marks will be performing at Plymouth Jazz Club at the Royal British Legion in Crownhill this Sunday.

One of the most popular sax players in the South West, Martin is a well known for his fabulous intimate solo shows around the city and, as well as playing alongside prestigious jazz performers Jim Mullen, Roy Williams, Derek Nash, Dick Pearce, Digby Fairweather and Peter King, he has shared the stage with 2008 X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
Admission on Sunday is £8 for visitors with concessions for members and students.
INTERNATIONAL Women's Day will be celebrated in Plymouth this year at a showcase of local Female performers at Annabel's next Thursday, March 7.
The evening, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, will feature a host of female performers from belly dancers and harpists to singers and songwriters, all from Plymouth.
On the bill this year will be the Kali Tribe – who lifted the roof off with their infectious belly dance last year, Chelsea Glover – a voice to listen for in the future, and local favourites Alex Hart, Girl Friday, Elani Evangelou and many more!
With over 15 female performers it promises to be a great night and all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Entry is £5 and the doors open at 8pm.
