Comedian Jason Byrne brings his People's Puppeteer tour to the Pavilions on November 7
Byrne's clowning style is a crowd and critics pleaser.
He was the biggest-selling comedian at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
He won a Chortle Award as best headliner in 2007 and this year bagged a Sony Gold for his Radio 2 show. Byrne has also been nominated twice for a Perrier.
His Pavilions date is a chance to see in the flesh a performer who has a string of TV credits, including Live At the Apollo (BBC1), Comedy Rocks (ITV1) and The Comedy Gala (Channel 4) but you will have to be aged 16 or over.
The announcement of Byrne's date next autumn means the comedy line-up for 2012 is already shaping up nicely with Sarah Millican and Billy Connolly in February, Dara O Briain and Rhod Gilbert in April, Frankie Boyle in July, Michael McIntyre in August, Kevin Bloody Wilson in October, Jimmy Carr and Ross Noble joining the Irish clown in November. Tickets are on sale now at the Pavilions (on 0845 146 1460 or www.plymouthpavilions.com).
