College course is media savvy
A COLLEGE media course which has links to The Herald has been started at City College Plymouth.
The National Certificate in Media course is being pitched at budding journalists, photographers and radio presenters.
The course will give students an introduction to the video, audio and photographic industries.
Rob Chadwick, media lecturer, said: "Whether you see your future in film, radio production, journalism, advertising, marketing or photography, we can give you a helping hand to start out in the industry."

With a strong focus on employability skills, the course hopes to enable students to gain junior media positions.
The College has links with employers including The Herald, Heart FM, and Radio Plymouth and through the college's employer endorsement scheme students have access to work experience, industry talks and workshops.
