St Cleer memorial hall near Liskeard is to  close in March if new trustees can't be found to run it.

The four trustees of the hall are resigning for age and health reasons.

Charity Commission rules state the hall must have four trustees to stay open.

Many local community groups, including a pre-school and Brownies, use the site.

The building dates back to 1954 and has a recent £40,000 extension.

A number of people would lose paid jobs in the hall closes.
