County stars set for winter medal
THE first of the Devon County Golf Union Captain's Winter Medal series is set to tee-off at Yelverton tomorrow, weather-permitting.
Tavistock duo Paul Crump and Mark Taylor are due to be first off the white tees for the first Captain's Winter Medal of the season.
Veteran ace and former county champion Graham Ruth is among a field of 30-plus along with county captain Adam Bridgewater, from the host club.
Bridgewater will be seeking to continue the form that saw him top this year's Devon CGU order of merit as well as setting him up for a good winter following the county's Channel League championship winning summer.
