Couple up for finals of award after shedding the pounds
A COUPLE have ditched the pounds in a joint weight loss campaign – and are up for an award.
The couple from Callington in Cornwall lost 7st 11½lb between them and have now reached the finals of a national slimming competition.
Linda and Tony Evans sized down after becoming members of the Callington Slimming World group. The weight-loss organisation helps people to shed the pounds through sensible eating and suggestions for healthy meals.
Linda and Tony were at a Slimming World South West event recently proudly flaunting their new figures with Linda demonstrating her flat tummy in a glittery grey and purple top.

They are one of 30 couples from around the UK and Ireland to reach the finals of the organisation's Couple of the Year 2013 contest. Last year's competition winners, Simon and Tracy Bartlett from Essex, lost 15 stone between them in 18 months.
