A COURT has extended an Anti-Social Behaviour Order which was imposed on a man for allegedly being part of a notorious gang.

Jonathan Webb, now 25, was said to be part of the Honicknowle Defence Regiment when he was given the order in 2009.

Webb, of Ringmore Way, West Park, was also handed a six-month curfew.

Presiding magistrate Nadine Fletcher told Webb he was making progress but was still using drugs and referred to other 'incidents'.

Plymouth City Council applied for the order which was opposed by Webb.

Dylan Sadler, for the council, said: "He has never had a job, he is just interested in drugs and criminality. He is not in training. He has no education or employment.

"He does not engage. He is not interested in changing his ways."

Ken Papenfus, for Webb, said the Honicknowle Defence Regiment was not relevant to extending the order.

Police said at the time that the ASBOs handed to the three young men in 2009 had broken up the gang.

Mr Papenfus said Webb was diagnosed with mental health problems, particularly Attention Hyperactivity Disorder, in February.

He added he had breached the existing ASBO only once and his last conviction was for possession of Valium in February.

Webb, giving evidence, said: "I am not interested in anti-social behaviour. I am stuck indoors. I am teetotal."

He said he was on a prescription for heroin substitute methadone and had taken Valium to tackle anxiety.

Webb added he was under the care of a community psychiatric nurse. He said he wanted to be a diver.

“The sad thing is that the so called "Honicknowle Defence Regiment" did its best to destroy Honicknowle and those living there. The mentality behind the Webbs, Danvers, Morley "et al" defied belief. The more help and support they were given the more they rebelled. Theft, vandalism, intimidation - they saw it as a career for the future. Honicknowle, indeed society, is better of without the like. Pray they never have offspring. Sometimes you've just got to wash your hands of the dirt and concentrate on the deserving. We as the tax paying public are supporting the methadone treatment, community psychiatric nurse and endless legal costs repremanding him, when we are struggling to keep homes for the elderly open. When will they realise this life isnt a test run, this is the only run you get ? He wants to be a diver ? Get real. Webbs future will consisit of negative Herald Headlines and a life on benefits if he manages not to kill himself with drugs.....On what a waste....”

Even funnier, a regiment of 3??”

    “@Tamrinbay

You should realise he was only a hard gangster when he was with his mates beating up people in groups much smaller than his. When he was on his own with no infants to bully he was a soft as shi&e, like the rest of his "gang".

He wouldn't fight you with his knuckles unless you were only 12 years old or he had 8 of his bully boy friends with him.

A real fully paid up member of today's moronic degenerates.”
