However, on-loan Reading striker Gozie Ugwu trained with the rest of the Argyle squad this morning after recovering from an ankle injury.
Providing he suffers no reaction, 19-year-old Ugwu could be in line to make his debut for the Pilgrims.
Sheridan has also confirmed he wants to add another player to his squad now that Football League clubs can make 'emergency loan' signings.
He declined to comment, though, on speculation linking Argyle with Swindon Town midfielder Lee Cox.
